Ramadan in the Middle East and North Africa Workplace

 


Ramadan is more to Muslims than simply abstaining from eating or drinking, according to the ‘Ramadan in the Middle East and North Africa Workplace’ poll, June 2016, 86.8% of respondents agree that Ramadan is one of their favorite times of the year.
In a special infographic dedicated to the holy month, Bayt.com reveals that for many, the holy month is dedicated to self-improvement, reflection, generosity and giving back!
Ramadan is the month they go above and beyond to lend out a helping hand to their community, get closer to their faith, and spend more time with family and loved ones.
Indeed, the Bayt.com ‘Ramadan in the Middle East and North Africa Workplace’ poll shows that spirits are high during the holy month as 63.5% of professionals say that Ramadan lifts overall morale, and that Ramadan is a time of patience, charity and discipline for most.

Highlights from the poll:

Ramadan is the month of giving: 94.9% say they give more to charity, and 53.1% say their company’s charitable activities increases in Ramadan.
Charity
Ramadan is the month of self-improvement: 96.1% use Ramadan as a time to reflect on their lives and become better people.
Improvement
Ramadan is the month of socializing: More than eight in ten (81.1%) feel they see more family and friends throughout the holy month.

Data for the Bayt.com ‘Ramadan in the Middle East and North Africa Workplace’ poll was collected online from May 17, 2016 to May 29, 2016. Results are based on a sample of 3,660 respondents from across the region.
