A few years later WInston Churchill was scathing about Woodrow Wilson’s delay in entering the war. “What he did in April 1917 could have been done in May 1915,” he wrote. “And if done then … in how many millions of homes would an empty chair be occupied now?” Let's hope that the lessons of May 1915 will guide the leadership of Greece and of the West of one hundred years later - by May 2015, to reach in a timely manner correct decisions for a harmless and productive resolution of the problems of Europe that will avert the sinking of Greece and the common European future.
